Scores 100% Second Year in a Row
Senator Christopher “Kip” Bateman (R-16) was recently named a “Taxpayer Champion” by the New Jersey Taxpayer Alliance. The Alliance selected Senator Bateman after an analysis of voting records on bills deemed crucial to the taxpayer community.
“The New Jersey Taxpayers Alliance seeks to improve the quality of life in New Jersey by holding elected officials accountable for their actions when taxpayers’ money is at stake, ” Bateman stated. “I am grateful for the recognition of the Alliance for my work on behalf of all taxpayers and trying to make New Jersey more affordable and Trenton more accountable.”
This is the second year the Taxpayer Alliance has handed out “Taxpayer Champion” awards. Both times Senator Bateman has received a score of 100%.
“Taxes in New Jersey are a huge burden to middle-class families and small business owners and are driving them to move to neighboring states,” Bateman concluded. “New Jersey has made headlines for having some of the highest taxes in the nation and that is nothing to be proud of. I will continue to fight until we make New Jersey affordable again.”
