The Family Policy Alliance of New Jersey, which is founded on the core belief of protecting and strengthening traditional family values, constructed the scorecard based on legislators’ voting records on bills that address conservative issues including education, diversity, and reproductive choice.
“Our family values and traditions are under attack by the liberal agenda of our Democrat-controlled legislature,” stated Assemblyman McGuckin. “I will always vote against their left-leaning policies that would mandate harmful and sexualized material in schools. It is important to me that the parents of this state are not left in the dark when it comes to curriculum changes being forced upon young children.”
Shawn Hyland, director of Advocacy for Family Policy Alliance of New Jersey, commended the Assemblyman on his conservative voting record and highlighted his continued service in fighting for transparency in education.
“Assemblyman Greg McGuckin has been a true friend to parents. His track record of consistently voting in support of parental rights and standing against the radical and controversial curriculum that is being forced into classrooms is what we need more of in Trenton. We appreciate his unwavering commitment to protecting the right to life, our religious freedoms, and complete transparency in education. Assemblyman McGuckin, thank you for your leadership and for the work you do on behalf of parents in legislative district 10 and across New Jersey.”
Assemblyman McGuckin has voted against legislation related to educational mandates for elementary school students on transgenderism and sexual orientation as well as a bill that would allow the legal right to abort a child up to the moment of birth.
“As long as I am serving as Assemblyman, my voting record will reflect the conservative values that I hold dear,” added Assemblyman McGuckin. “My hope is that both Democrats and Republicans can find ways to put our children’s future before policies and agendas and restore the family values by which this state and country were founded on.”
