Products manufactured in the state have been designated as “New Jersey-Made” or “NJ-Made.” Oroho’s bill signed today, A-2765/S-1838, introduces more options: “Made in New Jersey,” “Made in NJ,” or “MINJ.”

“These new designations will help bring attention to New Jersey factories and plants, and the many, varied goods they produce,” said Oroho (R-24). “We cannot overlook the role manufacturing plays in our state economy. Today, the sector is expanding once again, becoming a robust economic force, and a logo that boasts ‘Made in New Jersey’ delivers a resounding message about the strength and capabilities of our manufacturing companies.”

The Assembly passed the measure in July 2020, and the Senate unanimously approved it on June 3 of this year.

“New Jersey manufacturers supply products and parts to consumers and companies around the globe,” said Oroho, a member and former co-chair of the New Jersey Legislative Manufacturing Caucus. “Companies and their employees are working hard to once again establish our state as a dominant manufacturing hub in the northeast.”

Assemblymen Parker Space and Hal Wirths (both R-24) are sponsors of the Assembly bill.
