“If you’re a New Jersey senior citizen and you own a home, you may be eligible for a property tax break that could save you a substantial amount of money,” said Testa (R-1). “If you’re living on a fixed income, the Senior Freeze Program can provide some extra peace of mind. This valuable form of property tax relief can help our retirees afford to stay in their homes right here in the Garden State.”
The Senior Freeze Program reimburses eligible senior citizens and disabled persons for property tax or mobile home park site fee increases on their primary residence. To qualify, you must meet all eligibility requirements. Complete this questionnaire to see if you may be eligible for a 2019 Senior Freeze.
Senior Freeze Program applications will be mailed starting in mid-February to the last address you filed with. If you do not receive your booklet by early March, contact the Senior Freeze Property Tax Reimbursement Information Line at 1-800-882-6597.
