Following Gov. Murphy’s State of the State address, Connors, Rumpf & Gove said the Governor should end the extreme policies that are driving people out of New Jersey. (SenateNJ.com)
“The last two-plus years have proved to be extremely aggravating for many of our constituents who watch as the cost of living in this state only gets higher as a direct result of Trenton’s extreme policies.
“This includes a crushing imbalance in school funding cuts that hit local schools and taxpayers especially hard. Trenton also seems more inclined to provide entitlements to illegal aliens than providing desperately needed tax relief to legal, taxpayer citizens.
“There is something very wrong when illegal aliens are treated more like lawful citizens while law-abiding gun owners are treated like criminals.
“Too many residents have already reached their limit and are becoming more actively engaged in fighting the extreme policies which undermine the rule of law, contradict basic fairness in the distribution in state aid and disrespect the religious values held by many.
“The new legislative session offers the opportunity to put an end to the divisive, politically motivated and costly policies that are making people desperate to leave the state that is becoming increasingly unaffordable even with a strong national economy.
“As always, we’ll continue to stand with our constituents and represent their interests to the best of our abilities.”
