Statement from Senator Steve Oroho and Assemblymen Parker Space and Hal Wirths on recent anti-Semitic attacks:
Senator Steve Oroho and Assemblymen Parker Space and Hal Wirths condemned recent anti-Semitic attacks as despicable and barbaric.
An assault on any member of our community is an assault on us all. We have witnessed despicable acts of racist and anti-Semitic barbarism as of late in places like Monsey, NY and Jersey City and unfortunately seen anti-Semitic vandalism closer to home. Every American of all backgrounds should condemn this type of criminal behavior – not only because of the loss of innocent human life but because the perpetrators of these violent actions degrade and debase a religion and attack the spiritual soul of our communities.
We are fortunate that here in Sussex County that when anti-Semitic vandalism occurred in the past that we were able to join members of the community as we came together to speak out against such inhumane behavior and to show solidarity with the victims.
We pray for those who were attacked and for the families who have lost loved ones. As for those responsible for these vicious acts of terror that state and federal authorities use every tool at their disposable to seek maximum sentences.
