“In Colorado and Washington State pre-legalization, there were a number of marijuana related traffic fatalities. Post-legalization there was an immediate spike in marijuana related traffic fatalities. It is now a 100% increase per year.
“In New Jersey, marijuana recreational use is illegal but despite it being illegal, we still have 40-50 marijuana relation traffic deaths. If we do legalize, there will be an additional 40-50 deaths per year in New Jersey, and the peopled dying are not limited to stoned drivers. Many non-users are at great risk when more stoned drivers are on the road.
“There are many peer reviewed medical studies which indicate that cancer, mental illness, suicides, bullying, and work place accidents will increase
“The Governor is like a Judas Goat leading our people to the slaughterhouse so that his Wall Street buddies can become ‘Murphy Marijuana Millionaires.’
“I am a Republican with a strong libertarian streak, but as much as I am wary of government paternalism, I cannot be a party to this travesty.”
