“Of course, the welfare of our veterans remains one of my top priorities, which is why I consistently reach across the aisle to advance causes that matter to our country’s heroes,” Brown said. “I am proud to sponsor a law that will make it easier for our local veterans’ organizations, such as a VFW, to keep their lights on.”
Under Senator Brown’s bill, a public utility will charge veterans’ a residential rate of service.
“As legislators, it is our responsibility to work hard for you, because you’ve worked hard for our country,” Brown said. “I look forward to ensuring our heroes are continuously provided with the tools for success; the ability to afford to retire, and the opportunity to grow within the veterans’ organizations that support them.”
