Senator Steve Oroho (R-24), a member of both the Senate Budget and Appropriations and Economic Growth Committees, says New Jersey taxpayers are the beneficiaries under Governor Christie’s budget plan introduced today.

“This truly balanced budget provides property tax relief, decreases income taxes while making the state’s largest pension payment yet following up on our commitment as part of the landmark pension reform legislation enacted last year,” Oroho said. “Because of the responsible budgeting under this governor, we’ve stabilized expenses and helped create a sustained period of private-sector job growth these past two years in stark contrast to the jobs we hemorrhaged as a result of the policy decisions under the former administration.”
Senator Oroho vows to work to continue putting New Jersey on a more responsible, corrective course, turning things around from a past decade of policies that overspent, overtaxed, chased jobs away from our state and made New Jersey simply unaffordable for the average working family.
“I look forward to hearing from my constituents and all the residents of our state on the governor’s budget proposal and ultimately passing a budget that once again is truly responsive to the taxpayer and continues to improve our competitive economic position,” Oroho concluded.
