Senator Christopher J. Connors, Assemblyman Brian E. Rumpf and Assemblywoman DiAnne C. Gove, will hold a “Meet Your Legislators” event on Tuesday, February 21 to meet with constituents from Galloway and Port Republic. Both towns became part of the 9th Legislative District following last year’s legislative redistricting.
The 9th District Legislators offered the following remarks regarding the scheduled event:
“The purpose of this event is to provide our delegation with the opportunity to meet and speak with our new constituents. To more effectively represent our district, we have always actively solicited input from constituents on those issues most important to them.
“We fully recognize there are issues unique to Galloway and Port Republic that our delegation would like to have a better understanding of from the perspective of local residents. We would also like to provide an overview of the constituent service work done at our district office which continues to be a hallmark of our representative efforts.
“Over the past several months, our delegation has toured Richard Stockton College, the Mainland Campus of the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation. Additionally, we have attended council meetings for both Galloway and Port Republic. The ‘Meet Your Legislators’ event is a natural extension of our community outreach efforts to date.”
