New Jersey State Senator Joe Pennacchio (R-Morris, Essex, Passaic) introduced legislation that would close a loophole that has allowed organizations such as Planned Parenthood to be paid for aborted infant body parts.

The Senator’s bill would also prohibit fetal baby tissue from being used for the purpose of researching any cosmetic treatment.  The bill closes a state and federal loophole by denying any payment for the removal, processing, disposal, preservation, quality control, storage, transplantation or implementation of fetal tissue.

Related to this issue is the experimentation by companies and production of cosmetic products, such as those to reduce wrinkles.

“Is this the kind of society that we have evolved into? We’ve passed bills to end the sale of shark fins and tusks, why not to end the sale of human baby parts?” Pennacchio asked.

Recent documented videos have shown Planned Parenthood discussing the differences of costs with regards to these human baby parts.  Current law prohibits the direct sale of human fetal body parts obtained from abortions.  However, organizations such as Planned Parenthood have tried to circumvent the law by indirectly charging for the preparation and transportation of these baby organs.

Pennacchio added, “This was never the intent of the law and in my view is contrary to the laws of human nature and common decency.”

“We are at a juncture in history where we must decide if our future will be dependent on these horrific practices.  Regardless of where one stands on the issue of abortion, no person with any human sensibility can accept these embryonic eugenic practices.  It is shameful that we even need legislation to stop it,” concluded Pennacchio.
