“It’s an honor to be recognized by ABCNJ, an organization that strives for fairness among our state’s business communities and construction industries,” said McGuckin (R-10). “Their merit shop philosophy is a driving force for open competition in the marketplace and job creation. They can count on us to continue to be an advocate for free enterprise in the commercial and industrial construction industry.”
“There are over 400,000 workers represented by the ABCNJ,” added Catalano (R-10). “They are the ones building our homes, schools, hospitals, and infrastructure. They are businesses that build and strengthen our communities. We will always support the efforts of ABCNJ to champion the priorities of construction workers and contractors who are creating jobs and building a better New Jersey.”
“At Associated Builders and Contractors of NJ (ABCNJ) we are proud to work with legislators from across the political spectrum and on both sides of the aisle to ensure New Jersey has a competitive construction labor environment and a skilled labor workforce,” said ABCNJ President and CEO Samantha DeAlmeida.
“Assemblymen McGuckin and Catalano understand the importance of competition in construction and the state not picking winners or losers but letting the best and most qualified contractor be awarded with a project. They have both been steadfast allies in ensuring we open opportunities for anyone who is eager to join the construction field and become trained and educated in their respective profession. That’s what this business needs now more than ever,” she added.
“On behalf of the 400,000 workers and 1,200 businesses we represent, we are proud to honor both Assemblyman McGuckin and Assemblyman Catalano as two of our 2022 Legislators of Merit.”
