The First Legislative District team will be joined by local officials outside the Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) agency in North Cape May on Monday, June 14 at noon to call for a full reopening of the facility for all types of transactions.

Testa, Simonsen & McClellan of the First Legislative District will hold an event outside the North Cape May MVC on Monday, June 14 calling for a full reopening of the facility for all transactions. (NJMVC)

The Cape May County agency is currently operating as a “licensing center” that does not process vehicle transactions involving new registrations, titles, or license plates.

Senator Michael Testa and Assemblymen Erik Simonsen and Antwan McClellan say the nearest MVC “vehicle center” is a 60 to 90 minute drive for many Cape May County residents, which is too far for the county’s large population of senior citizens and veterans.

WHO: Senator Michael Testa, Assemblyman Erik Simonsen, Assemblyman Antwan McClellan, members of the Cape May County Board of Commissioners, and other local officials.

WHAT: On-site event calling for the full reopening of the North Cape May MVC.

WHEN: Monday, June 14 at noon.

WHERE: North Cape May MVC, 3305 Bay Shore Rd., Breakwater Shopping Plaza, North Cape May, NJ 08204

The event will be livestreamed on Facebook Live at
