Senator Anthony M. Bucco (R-25) spoke against unconstitutional and extreme new restrictions and requirements that would be placed on law-abiding gun owners through legislation proposed by New Jersey Democrats.

During a floor debate on A-4769/S-3214 in the New Jersey Senate on December 19, 2022, Bucco said several provisions of the law are likely unconstitutional.

He also raised concerns about a new insurance requirement that would be imposed through the legislation that may be impossible to comply with.

The legislation passed 21-16 with only Democrats in support.
