“There are more than 400,000 veterans living in New Jersey, and too many of them are unable to access safe and affordable housing,” said Bucco (R-25). “To help rectify this, I am proud to partner with Morris Habitat for Humanity to raise awareness for Veterans Build Week—a critical initiative that helps provide quality homes for veterans in need. I encourage anyone who is able to volunteer to do so. Together, we can help improve the lives of veterans and bring some joy to their families during this season of giving.”

During Veterans Build Week, sponsored by Morris Habitat for Humanity, volunteers work side by side with Habitat staff to build an affordable home for a veteran in need.

The featured build site for 2022 is The Crossings at Bennett Avenue, a 25-unit condominium complex located at 42 Bennett Avenue in Randolph. The development includes a community room, picnic and play area, and a bike path to stores and restaurants on South Salem Street.

Senator Bucco will attend the build kick-off on Friday, November 4 at 11 a.m. The first phase of building will continue throughout the week of November 7 culminating with a Veterans Day ceremony on Friday, November 11.
