In 2012, New Jersey enacted a bipartisan reform effort, sponsored by Senator Tom Kean, modernizing New Jersey’s brewing laws and allowing for the growth and expansion of microbreweries and brewpubs in the state.

As a direct result, New Jersey’s craft brewing industry has since doubled to 36 breweries, with more pending in virtually every county, and now employs thousands of people and adds nearly $800 million annually to New Jersey’s economy, including the generation of revenues for the state and local governments.

While the reforms enacted in 2012 have helped spur the growth of New Jersey’s microbreweries and brewpubs, more legislative changes are ready to be adopted for more jobs and to ensure that New Jersey can continue to compete with states that have already acted to eliminate outdated restrictions.

You can send the message to legislative leaders that they need to enact additional reforms to ensure New Jersey’s position as a premier craft brewing destination.

Tell them to support the continued growth and expansion of New Jersey’s microbreweries and brewpubs!
