“I have complete confidence in Chairman Degnan’s ability to oversee construction efforts at the Port Authority,” Senator Kean said. “Time and time again John has demonstrated his capacity to lead with integrity and work tirelessly to advance improvements that will benefit commuters on both sides of the Hudson.
“John Degnan’s steadfast commitment to upholding transparency in the decision making process serves as an example of the type of leadership, accountability and governance we should expect from an agency charged with handling billions of hard-earned taxpayer dollars.
“As we go forward with projects such as the bus terminal and the Gateway Tunnel, it is critical that we continue to advocate for the swift passage of my Port Authority reforms.
“I see no reason to question John Degnan’s leadership, especially given his tireless efforts to advance much-needed construction of the new bus terminal on the West Side.
“It is with great pride that I stand up in staunch support of upstanding, honest public servants like Chairman Degnan.”
