Senate Republican Leader Thomas Kean issued the following statement regarding the absence of Senator Diane Allen from the Thursday, June 19 Senate quorum and the Monday, June 23 Senate session.
“Senator Diane Allen is still suffering complications associated with her bout with pneumonia earlier this year. She has tried to come back to Trenton on two occasions but both resulted in relapses. Accordingly she is under a physician’s order to rest, working only from home when able.
“Diane is an important, hard-working member of the Senate and the Senate Republican Leadership team. Her opinions and counsel will be missed during this year’s budget debate. I hope everyone will join me in wishing her a quick and complete recovery and a return to full duty serving her constituents in Burlington County.”
