Senator Tom Kean (R-21) reiterated his call to Governor Corzine to release all financial records regarding the lobbying group “Save Our State.” The organization was established by Governor Corzine to promote his widely unpopular toll hike scheme.
“It has been over a month since Jennifer Godoski, a “Save our State” spokeswoman, confirmed that a list of all financial contributors would be released by the end of February. It is now March 7 and a list has yet to be provided.
“All financial information regarding this group, including donations and expenditures, should be immediately released to ensure the group is operating under the rules of law.
“I will continue to call on Governor Corzine, his administration and the “Save our State” lobbying group to release this information. If the Corzine administration has nothing to hide then they have nothing to worry about and the facts should be immediately released.”
Published reports* note that “the group will disclose its donors every month.” The group was formed January 30, 2008.
