“Our towns are set to receive millions of dollars from the TTF to help pay for critical road and bridge projects in our neighborhoods. Every dollar we get from the TTF to help fund these important projects is a dollar that property taxpayers won’t have to pay,” said Kean. “It’ll also help our commuters who often pay the biggest price in time and frustration when our transportation systems fail. They deserve safe and reliable transportation infrastructure and to know that we’re working to make things better.”

The legislators said towns in the 21st Legislative District will receive the following grants from the TTF for infrastructure projects:

  • Bernards: $500,000
  • Berkeley Heights: $275,000
  • Chatham: $185,000
  • Cranford:  $470,000
  • Far Hills: $272,000
  • Garwood:  $216,000
  • Kenilworth:  $470,000
  • Long Hill: $230,000
  • Mountainside: $240,000
  • New Providence:  $310,000
  • Roselle Park:  $309,045
  • Springfield:  $265,000
  • Summit:  $530,000
  • Warren: $293,000
  • Watchung: $496,000
  • Westfield:  $363,000

“With the state’s Transportation Trust Fund back on solid ground, our towns are now able to begin much needed improvements to our roads and bridges without burdening taxpayers,” said Bramnick.

“A reliable and safe transportation infrastructure is the backbone of a healthy economy,” added Muñoz. “This funding is an investment in our future and will go a long way in funding vital local projects without cost to taxpayers.”
