Assemblyman Dave Rible (R-11)

Rible Hosts Business Breakfast for Local Business Owners

Meeting Provides Business Owners with the Opportunity to Discuss Ideas and Voice Concerns

Assemblyman Dave Rible will be hosting a free breakfast for business owners to establish new ways for businesses to survive, to establish a rapport with the business community, and to discuss what is happening in New Jersey.

The first meeting was held at Perkins Restaurant and Bakery in Wall Township. The issues that were discussed include taxes, permitting issues, and affordable housing.

“The business breakfast provided a forum for local business owners to voice their concerns and gave me the opportunity to learn more about issues that are impacting businesses,” said Rible. “I feel that this meeting was very productive and I remain committed to fighting for Monmouth County businesses in Trenton.”

The meetings will take place the first Friday of every month from 8 A.M. to 9 A.M. The next meeting will be held on March 6th. The location is in the process of being finalized and will be announced shortly.

In addition, Assemblyman Rible discussed legislation he has sponsored that aims to prevent the state from issuing new rules and policies that often make it harder and more expensive to live or do business in New Jersey. The ban would be immediate and last for 18 months. The governor could authorize an agency to write new administrative rules, or rewrite them, providing the rule would address a public health, safety or welfare emergency, increase government efficiency, combat the state’s private-sector job loss or meet requirements of a federal law or court order.

“This legislation was introduced in response to the many businesses that are struggling during the current recession,” said Rible. “I am working with the Assembly Policy Committee to work to improve New Jersey’s business economy. The business meetings will be crucial in keeping me apprised of the problems that are directing affecting business owners that need to be addressed.”
