FoodBank Donations Accepted at District Office
Senator Joe Kyrillos joined with the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties for their annual food drive and designated his office at 1715 Highway 35, Middletown, as a drop-off center for nonperishable food items.
“It is important that we come together as a community to help those who are struggling this holiday season,” said Senator Kyrillos. “I am pleased to be working with the FoodBank and encourage all residents to participate in this food drive.”
Suggested food items include: ready-to-eat canned meals, canned sweet potatoes or yams, canned vegetables or fruits, stuffing and gravy, jellied cranberry sauce, tuna, peanut butter and jelly, instant potatoes, rice, macaroni and cheese, canned juices or sip-size juices and canned or dry soup.
The food drive will continue through December and nonperishable items may be dropped off at the office anytime between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. For more information about this program, please call Janet Hrbek at 732-671-3206.
