Senator Christopher J. Connors, Assemblyman Brian E. Rumpf and Assemblywoman DiAnne C. Gove released the following statement on the passing of Assemblyman Alex DeCroce:
“Our Delegation is deeply saddened by the passing of Assemblyman Alex DeCroce and we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to his family.
“First and foremost, we knew Alex as a dedicated public servant. In these fiercely partisan times, Alex always conducted himself as a statesman and gentlemen for the betterment of the state.
“Having had time to reflect, we will miss Alex’s friendship and the enthusiasm he brought to addressing the state’s most critical issues. Out of respect for the office he held and for the people he was elected to serve, Alex always took a professional approach to his legislative duties. His contributions as a public servant have made New Jersey a better place by improving the quality-of-life for so many residents.
“In this difficult time, everyone can take comfort in knowing that Alex will always be remembered by his constituents and colleagues for the tremendous qualities he displayed as a leader in the Legislature.”
