Ciesla/Wolfe/Holzapfel Call Upon Committees to Consider Anti-Dog Chaining Laws

Senator Andy Ciesla and Assemblymen Dave Wolfe and Jim Holzapfel (all R-10), have called on Senate Economic Growth Committee Chairman Raymond Lesniak and Assembly Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee Chairman Douglas Fisher to hold a hearing on anti-dog chaining legislation which they have sponsored. The bill, S-835/A-902, establishes animal cruelty offenses pertaining to the chaining or cruel restraint of animals.

Ciesla, Wolfe & Holzapfel Bill Protecting Marinas Passes Senate and Assembly

Legislation which places a two-year moratorium on disputed public access regulations recently adopted by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has been passed by the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly. S-1533/A-2601 is sponsored by District 10 legislators, Andy Ciesla, Dave Wolfe and Jim Holzapfel.

Holzapfel/Wolfe Water Supply, Quality Bill Approved by Environment Committee

Legislation sponsored by Assemblyman James Holzapfel and Assemblyman David Wolfe that would make water suppliers and licensed operators more accountable for the state’s water supplies and water quality was approved by the Assembly Environment and Solid Waste Committee today.

The bill, A-904, requires that water suppliers and licensed operators file quarterly and annual reports with the municipalities they service regarding the adequacy and water quality of the water furnished to its users.

Ciesla, Wolfe & Holzapfel Introduce Legislation on Public Access and Marina Safety

The 10th District legislators have introduced legislation in response to proposed changes to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) coastal development regulations concerning marinas. These changes to the Coastal Zone Management (CZM) rules would require private marinas to provide open, 24- hour public access to waterways throughout their property.
