Senator Anthony Bucco (R-25), a member of the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee, issued the following statement today regarding the state of New Jersey’s business climate.
“Businesses are leaving New Jersey it’s that plain and simple. The anti-business policies of the past six years are forcing companies with long histories in this state to flee. Naturally, the working families are following them.
“At the International Trade Zone in Mount Olive companies that would like to stay and expand in New Jersey are being forced to move out of state due to the regulations imposed by the Highlands Act. In Sparta COAH regulations are forcing at least one company to move out of state and at a factory in Paterson the Department of Environmental Protection regulations are delaying the sale of a factory.”
“I suspect the same pattern is being repeated all across the state. New Jersey once a manufacturing powerhouse is deliberately pursuing policies designed to close businesses or force them to move out of state. I don’t believe the Trenton politicians and bureaucrats will be satisfied until every business and every working family is gone.”
