“I cannot think of a better place to mark the first ever ‘Senator Joseph Palaia’ Day, than an elementary school in Ocean Township – a community Senator Joe spent decades serving, first as a beloved educator and then as one of the most admirable elected officials our state has ever seen,” Senator Beck said. “What makes this celebration even more special, is the fact that we will be joined by his daughter Principal Denise Palaia, who is carrying on his legacy as a devoted elementary school principal.”

The celebration will feature a student assembly and the unveiling of two memorial trees to be planted on the grounds of Wayside Elementary School in Senator Palaia’s memory.
