The New Jersey Taxpayers Alliance has announced that State Senator Christopher “Kip” Bateman (R-Somerset) is a recognized “Taxpayer Champion” who has never failed to champion taxpayers in the fight to make the state more affordable and Trenton more accountable.
The Alliance, in its first rating of state legislators, gave Bateman a perfect score for voting in the interest of taxpayers on 10 critical bills.
“I am humbled and honored by the New Jersey Taxpayers Alliance award,” Senator Bateman said. “Too often, legislators hear only from those pressuring state government to spend more. The Alliance stands up for the taxpayers whose interests are often trampled by the legislative process in Trenton.”
The New Jersey Taxpayers Alliance seeks to improve the quality of life in New Jersey by holding elected officials accountable for their actions when taxpayers’ money is at stake. It has tirelessly combated the host of new taxes that Trenton has levied and tried to impose over the last eight years.
