Senator Diane Allen (R-Burlington) applauded an announcement by Governor Chris Christie today that the Schools Development Authority will be performing an emergent repair project in Burlington City.
“I am thankful that Governor Christie continues to invest in Burlington City. This latest project will implement repairs to the roof of the Captain James Lawrence Elementary School on Barclay Street.
This school houses students in Preschool through Second Grade. Factors such as destructive storms and extreme heat can damage roofs and lead to dangerous leaks and hazardous conditions. This important project will ensure a safe learning environment for the young students who call this building home five days a week,” Allen said.
The Schools Development Authority has invested nearly $104.8 million in completed projects in Burlington City, including three capital projects.
