Senator Dawn Marie Addiego

Rudder & Addiego to Welcome CEO of NJ Economic Development Authority

Caren Franzini Will Speak at Monthly Business Round-table Hosted by 8th District Legislators on Oct. 19

Assemblyman Scott Rudder and Assemblywoman Dawn Marie Addiego will host their next Business Round-table session, 8 a.m. Tuesday, October 19, at the Medport Diner on Route 70 in Medford.

The guest speaker will be Caren Franzini, the chief executive officer of New Jersey’s Economic Development Authority.

“EDA plays a key role in promoting New Jersey and attracting new business to the area. We will be discussing ways to invigorate the state’s economy, and efforts to re-establish New Jersey as a leader in business growth and job creation,” said Assemblyman Rudder.

In September, Rudder and Addiego kicked off the Business Round-table series with guest speaker Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno. More than 70 local business leaders attended the event.

Among its roles, EDA works to develop financing options for small and mid-size businesses, supports entrepreneurs with training and mentoring programs, and undertakes real estate development projects that are crucial to economic growth.

“The only way to put people back to work is to attract and nurture new business, and to provide an environment where current business can expand and thrive,” said Assemblywoman Addiego. “Economic development must be the cornerstone of New Jersey’s recovery.”

Seating for the business round-table is extremely limited. Reserve a spot by calling Josh Foote at the 8th District office at (609) 654-1498. Coffee and danish will be served.
