Rudder & Addiego to Host Business Round-Table with Lieutenant Governor

Local Business Leaders Are Invited to Discuss the Challenges They Face

Assemblyman Scott Rudder and Assemblywoman Dawn Marie Addiego have invited local business owners and leaders to a round-table discussion with Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno, 8 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, at the Medport Diner on Route 70 in Medford.

“Small business is the engine that will power the financial recovery in New Jersey,” said Assemblyman Rudder. “Business growth and job creation are crucial to restoring economic stability in our communities.”

The event is the first in a continuing series of monthly business round-table sessions hosted by the 8th District legislators.

“We want to hear from the businessmen and women who wage daily war against a difficult economy, and must also cope with excessive regulations and one of the worst Business Tax Climates in the nation,” said Assemblywoman Addiego. “We want to work with them to once again make New Jersey an economic force in the region.”

Guadagno is New Jersey’s first Lieutenant Governor. After taking office in January, one of her first tasks was chairing Governor Chris Christie’s Red Tape Review Panel, which studied the unfunded mandates and regulatory bureaucracy that threatens the survival of small business in the Garden State.

“Communication between the Governor’s office and the local business people in the trenches is critical,” said Assemblyman Rudder. “There is a shared goal of creating new and better jobs, and growing New Jersey out of this financial mess.”

Seating for the Business Round-Table is extremely limited. Reserve a spot by calling Josh Foote at the 8th District office at (609) 654-1498. Coffee and danish will be served.
