8th District Representative Feted at the ‘Beyond the Glass Ceiling Awards Dinner’
Assemblywoman Dawn Marie Addiego (R-8th, Evesham) received the “Legislator of the Year” award Tuesday night, from the South Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Assemblywoman Addiego was honored at the “Beyond the Glass Ceiling Awards Dinner” for her accomplishments in the non-traditional roles as councilwoman, freeholder and assemblywoman, and for her influence as a positive role model for women, according to Eileen Unger, president of NAWBO’s South Jersey Chapter.

“I’m thrilled to be named the ‘Legislator of the Year.’ I have so much respect for the women who are making their mark in the business community,” said Assemblywoman Addiego, who has been in elected office since being voted to Evesham Township Council in 1993.
In her acceptance, Assemblywoman Addiego said: “Business is the locomotive that pulls the economic train, and more and more, women are filling the role as engineer.”
Assemblywoman Addiego expressed her displeasure with the dismal business climate in the state, and pledged “to continue to apply pressure in the State House to improve conditions so businesses can survive, grow, and thrive, and lead New Jersey’s economic resurgence.”
“Together, we can assure that things will get better, and when they do, women business owners will be driving the train,” Assemblywoman Addiego concluded.
